TEACHER
ASSISTANT TEACHER
We are looking for an experienced teacher with a bachelor or degree in early childhood education.
The right candidate will receive extra training to ensure the school meets its International quality standards. Montessori training is a plus.
This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, proactivity, and a genuine interest in the holistic development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Teacher training development
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the Ghanaian Curriculum and International Quality standards.
- Design engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance student participation.
Student Assessment
- Regularly assess and evaluate student progress usingappropriate assessment tools and techniques. Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievements, and assessment results.
Environment Management
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Establish and enforce classroom rules and behaviour expectations to ensure a positive and safe atmosphere.
Parent and Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster strong relationships with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about student progress, achievements, and areas requiring attention.
- Collaborate with colleagues, school administrators, and support staff to promote effective teamwork and a positive school culture.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and meetings as required.
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Early Childhood education or a relevant field.
- Teaching certification or qualification from a recognized institution.
- Montessori certification or experience with Montessori program.
- Proven experience teaching kindergarten, preferably in a similar educational setting.
- Excellent knowledge of the Ghanaian Curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom, maintain discipline, and create a positive learning environment.
